Petawawa has a new restaurant- we made the new for once for a good reason

My new favourite takeout restaurant in Petawawa was on the CBC 6 pm  news today as it had it's grand opening. The Lebanese restaurant is called Madameek. It was featured on the front page of the Ottawa Citizen On Sunday July 25 as the restaurant has an emotional backstory. The title in the article says it well."In Loving Memory" Soldiers Spirit lives on at Petawawa restaurant. It is a great place to be in Pet as it is well supported by the military many of whom knew Trooper Marc Diab who died in Afghanistan in March 2009. He told his parents he wanted to open up a Lebanese restaurant in Petawawa when he retired from the military.  His parents are fulfilling his dream.
It felt good to be part of a positive story in Petawawa.
